At High Plains Flooring & Blinds, our installation team focuses on doing the job right from the start, with careful preparation, precise workmanship, and clear communication throughout the process. We install flooring for homeowners, remodels, and new builds, making sure each surface is properly prepared before the first plank, tile, or carpet is placed.

Flooring installation shouldn’t feel confusing or rushed. Our process is structured to reduce surprises and deliver consistent results.

We remove existing flooring as needed, inspect the subfloor, and address any issues that could affect performance.

Using proper tools and industry-approved techniques, we install your flooring with attention to layout, transitions, and detail.

We clean the space, review the finished work with you, and make sure everything meets our quality standards.

This approach helps prevent common problems like uneven surfaces, gaps, or premature wear.

After your measure appointment, estimates are typically completed and sent within 2–3 business days. Due to the volume of estimates we receive, some projects may require additional time.

Once you approve your estimate, a 50% deposit is required before materials are ordered for installation projects.

For material-only purchases, full payment is due at the time of purchase before materials are ordered.

After payment is received, we will place the order for your materials. Most products are received within approximately 14 business days, depending on manufacturer availability and potential backorders.

Within 3 business days of placing your order, we will provide:

We do not schedule installations until product availability has been confirmed with the manufacturer. This allows us to provide accurate scheduling and helps prevent delays caused by backordered or unavailable products.

Certain products, including hardwood, laminate, and luxury vinyl plank (LVP), require acclimation prior to installation. For these products, materials are typically delivered to the job site approximately one week before installation in accordance with manufacturer requirements and industry standards.

For products requiring acclimation, installation will typically take place the week following product delivery. Products that do not require acclimation may be installed sooner, depending on product availability and scheduling.

How long does the flooring installation process take? 
Installation timelines vary based on the size of the project and the type of flooring being installed. Most flooring installations are completed within two to five days, including preparation and finishing. 

Can you install flooring over my existing floor? 
In some cases, new flooring can be installed over existing floors, depending on the material and condition of the current surface. Our team will evaluate your space during the consultation and recommend the best approach. 

Will there be a lot of dust and mess during installation? 
We take steps to minimize dust and debris throughout the installation process. Our installers use modern tools and methods to keep the work area as clean and organized as possible. 

When can I move furniture back onto my new floors? 
Most flooring types require waiting 24 to 48 hours before moving furniture back into place. Some materials or finishes may require additional time, and we’ll provide clear guidance for your specific project. 

Do I need to be present during the installation process? 
You don’t need to be home for the entire installation, but we recommend being available at the beginning and end of the project to review details and ask any questions. 

How do I prepare my home for flooring installation? 
Before installation begins, furniture and personal items should be removed from the area. Our team can assist with moving larger items if needed, but planning ahead helps keep the process smooth.

What’s included in the flooring installation service?
